Heated treatment rooms come in various forms and many came into being during Roman times. 

A Caldarium room has heated surfaces supplied by electric heating units. The radiant heat of a Caldarium stimulates circulation and regenerates the body’s natural energies.

In a Laconium the walls, benches and floor are all tiled and thermostically heated to a temperature of around 65c. It is a warm rather than stifling hot room and a good place to start your thermal journey. Typically, you spend 20 minutes in a Laconium followed by a warm shower.

A Tepidarium is a dry, warm room close to body temperature and is where you can start or finish your cleansing journey. A tiled Tepidarium can be enhanced with mood lighting and is thermostically controlled.
